Darragh Hayden was born in Dublin , Ireland. Although many of his pieces can be classified as technically abstract, Darragh’s work contains a mixture of both abstract and representational art. His principal subject is mainly figurative, in abstracted form and often solitary, the intent is to deconstruct an original thought or visual perception while exploring more formal visual elements such as line, colour and tone.
“ As time moves on, the way we perceive the world and the events that shape it also change. Our perception changes and alters what happens within ourselves in relation to the outside - so in turn what we see, hear and understand changes the way we view and observe - Nothing stays the same...... “
Darragh works mainly with the medium of acrylic paint.

" To alter a face without lines, you need to reason with what's inside. To change a view or just a will, it's so hard when life - Life just stands still. So I listen to what's outside - Is it a gentle breeze or raindrops falling all over me ? Under a moon - there's a search for light - Tell me can you feel yourself reach out ? and while all around you just seems to fall - take your time - listen. Without a sound.......... "
